A Week At Premier

What does a week of classes look like at Premier Conditioning?

At Premier Conditioning, we pride ourselves with knowledge and experience like no other. For example, the majority of trainers at other gyms only have their certificate 3 and 4 in fitness and the odd nutrition certificate. Whereas, at PC, we have experienced staff who practise what they preach, university qualified and strength and conditioning coaches. This knowledge and experience transfers over to week of classes!

For example, in our Strength and Conditioning classes we plan in eight week blocks and focus on a specific movement or goal. Between each block, there is also a transition week too. From here, we work backwards and utilise the strength and conditioning principles – progression, individualisation, variety, specificity, reversibility and recovery.

An example of one week would look like –

Monday
Bench Press Focused

Tuesday
Lower Body Focused

Wednesday
Endurance Day

Thursday
Upper Body or Bench Press Accessories

Friday
Full Body Focused

However, the difference is specifically in the programming. At Premier Conditioning, we believe in variety which means you will never get the same movement twice in a week. You may get similar movements but never the same exercise. Another difference is how we structure the week, this means, one week you’ll have Bench Press on a Monday, next week it could Wednesday. Reason for this is to stop any cherry picking from the sessions.

The most importance difference is individualisation. Not everyone needs or wants to lift heavy weights, not everyone wants to lift light weights, others like a challenge while others like to move their body. Therefore, we also offer a performance of health option in our classes to suit the individual needs. This could be in rep ranges or movements for the session.
