How to succeed as a coach

I began in this field over 10 years ago and thought it was time to offer some words of advice for anyone who wants to work in this industry or even here at Premier Conditioning.

These standards can help all up and coming and current Personal Trainers, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Exercise Scientists and Students. However, these standards can carry over to any other field too.

In no particular order -

• Always arrive early
• Never sleep in (Everyone gets 1)
• Practise what your preach
• Know your worth
• Do not drink a coffee, text or call during a session
• Customer service is everything (Always greet with a smile or ask how they are)
• Always continue to learn
• Always have a positive attitude
• Be resilient
• Accept suggestions or feedback
• Always offer to help everyone (Can be a member moving incorrectly or a fellow trainer asking for advice)
• Be prepared and have a plan
• Most importantly, have fun

We’re always on the look out for coaches and if you believe you can make a difference in people’s lives then send us a message or an email.
